How the Electronic Bug Swatter can help you.

Using the Bug Swatter to Kill mosquitoes and flies is very straightforward. Simply wave the swatter in the direction of the flying insect. Relax. Don't try too hard. You are usually successful when the insects are indoors and alight on a surface, in which case you gently cover it with the grill of the Swatter while pressing the activation button. If you don't mind this sort of thing, it can actually be fun.

Most pesky insects that invade your home are easily caught by the bug swatter. Just relax; the key is not to try too hard. Waving the bat arround in the air as you follow the fly or mosquito is enough to make contact; press the button and he's zapped!. Remember not to strike at windows or surfaces. But the detecting of micro organisms and bugs in your recently cleanedor vacuumed carpet, or your bed pillows is the kicker! If the surface is clean, press the bat into the pillow or mattress a little. The microorganisms are killed on contact. They tend to be deep in the body of the furniture. Don't expect to get them all. Your aim is really to detect them with the bat, them use the Homeopathic Bug Killer to drasticaly reduce and control their population.

Use the Bug Swatter to detect micro organisms that may be living in your bed sheets, pillows, sofas, carpets, rugs etc. Pass the swatter over the surface; if you have recently cleaned the surface and used the Homeopathic Bug Killer spray there will be no sparks to indicate the presence of micro bugs. Whenever attempting to detect the presence of micro bugs, press the swatter into the pillow or sofa or rug. The bugs tend to be present at different levels in the body of the filling, if its a pillow or cushioned upholsery. You may see more sparks in that case. You may never get rid of all microorganisms in your furniture but you can significantly reduce their population by treating such items with the Homeopathic Bug Killer spray on a regular basis. The Bug Swatter works as an excellant tool for indicating the level of presence.

Flies

The house fly is the most common fly occurring in homes, and one of the most widely distributed animals. It is a pest that can facilitate some of the most serious deseases we have on the planet.

Houseflies can take in only liquid foods. They spit out saliva on solid foods to pre-digest it and then suck it back in. they also vomit partially digested matter and eat it again.

House flies are capable of carrying over 100 pathogens, such as typhoid, cholera, salmonella, bacillary dysentery, tuberculosis, anthrax, ophthalmia and parasitic worms. The flies in lower-hygiene areas usually carry more pathogens. Some strains have become immune to common insecticides. More Information

The simple use of the spray as a regular part of your house cleaning routine discourages these pests. Follow the guidelines at the top of the page for best results. Insects as a whole, including pesky houseflies are disoriented by the plant extracts contained in the Homeopathic Bug Killer Concentrate Original formula. Spray in the direction of the flying insect, when they slow down or land they are sluggish. Then cover them with the swatter, or swat them easily in the air. You may also use the original concentrated formula as you would incense in a ceramic oil burner.

Remember that using the Homeopathic Bug Killer works best when used together with other naturally sensible measures, such as installing screans in windows and doors where possible; covering organic refuse inside and outside the house, keeping your environment free of debris and exposed refuse.

Head Lice

The head louse is one of the many varieties of sucking lice specialized to live on different areas of various animals. As the name implies, head lice are specialized to live among the hair on the human head and are perfectly adapted to living mainly on the scalp and neck hairs of their human host. Lice present on other body parts covered by hair are not head lice but are either pubic lice or body lice. More Information

After lengthy trials, the following method proved most effective in battling these persistant pests. Basically you wash the hair as per instructions, then give nightly treatments:

With boys and men for best results, first cut the hair as short as possible. For women and girls, continue below. CAUTION: This product contain cayenne pepper. Can be painfull, though not harmful, to the eyes. Handle with care.

  1. Mix the following in a large tub of hot water – as hot as the subject can tolerate (parents, gauge the temperature for your child): 2 drops of Homeopathic Bug Killer Original or Extra strength + 1 portion of your favourite shampoo.
  2. Have the subject sit or stand in such a way as to soak all their hair and scalp in this hot mixture. Let the hair and scalp soak for a minimum of 5 minutes. It is important that they can tolerate the water temperature as hot as possible. This ensures that the eggs are killed. The soaking with the Homeopathic Bug Killer kills the larvae and lice.
  3. Repeat the previous steps, taking care to massage the scalp thoroughly, working your fingers and/or fine toothed comb through the hair as the scalp and hair are submerged.
  4. Rinse hair and scalp. Towel dry. Then apply Homeopathic Bug Killer Scalp Treatment to the head. CAUTION: This product contains eye irritant (cayenne pepper). Although not harmful, this can be painful to small children and sensitive adults. Handle with care.
  5. Each night before going to bed, spray head and hair with a mixture made up of 5ml of Homeopathic Bug Killer concentrate in 500ml distilled water. Cover the head with a plastic cap. You may reapply Homeopathic Bug Killer Scalp Treatment before bedtime with the spray.
  6. Follow these instructions once a week (except Step 5 - which is every night) for three more weeks.

One 15ml jar of scalp treatment and one bottle of original or extra strength formula will treat a family of three people for one month.

The Bug Swatter is a handy companion on camping trips, for zapping those pesky mosquitoes invading your space at night. We sleep with the swatter within reach adn at the sound of the noisy pests waking us, we simply wave the swatter in the direction of the sound and "zap!" they're gone!

Bed bugs

Small nocturnal insects that live by feeding on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded hosts

Adult bedbugs are reddish brown, flattened, oval, and wingless, with microscopic hairs that give them a banded appearance. A common misconception is that they are not visible to the naked eye, but adults grow to a size often compared to lentils or appleseeds. They do not move quickly enough to escape the notice of an attentive observer. Newly hatched nymphs are translucent and lighter in colour and continue to become browner and molt as they reach maturity.

Bedbugs are generally active only at night, with a peak attack period about an hour before dawn, though given the opportunity, they may attempt to feed at other times of day. Attracted by warmth and the presence of carbon dioxide, the bug pierces the skin of its host with two hollow tubes. With one tube it injects its saliva, which contains anticoagulants and anaesthetics, while with the other it withdraws the blood of its host. After feeding for about five minutes, the bug returns to its hiding place. The bites cannot usually be felt until some minutes or hours later, as a dermatological reaction to the injected agents. Although bedbugs can live for up to 18 months without feeding, they typically seek blood every five to ten days.

Bedbugs are often erroneously associated with filth. They are attracted by exhaled carbon dioxide, not by dirt, and they feed on blood, not waste. The cleanliness of their environments has no effect on bedbugs.

While bedbugs have been known to harbour pathogens in their bodies, including plague and hepatitis B, they have not been linked to the transmission of any disease and are not regarded as a medical threat. Some individuals, however, can get skin infections and scars from scratching bites. While bedbugs are not regarded as a vector of transmissible diseases, they are a serious stressor and will create a lot of alarm and distress. More Information

The normal mixture of 5ml of Homeopathic Bug Killer concentrate in 500ml of clean or distilled water is good for general cleaning. Use a regular clean household spraybottle which holds 250 - 500 ml. for mixing the spray. Treat your cushions, furniture bed frames and surfaces once a month or so. Use the concentrate itself in your wash water when doing laundry. In th ecase of sever infestation, spraying the bare mattress with the mixture twice a day for a week will ensure these insects' eradication. After that, once a month will keep them away.

Ants

Ants are pests that tend to show up during the warmer months of the year in both the northern and southern hemispheres. The only known beautiful areas of the Earth where these pests are not found, as far as we know is theHawaiian Islands and parts of Polynesia. Most of us already know the pattern; anything containing sugar will be attacked, by swams of the common variety that invade our home to forage for food the pavement ants. Nests may be destroyed by tracing the ants' trails back to the nest, then pouring boiling water into it to kill the queen. This works in about 60% of the mounds and needs about 14 litres (3 gallons) per mound. More Information

Useing the Homeopathic Bug Killer kills the common pavement ant on contact.

For prevention, it is best keep all food in sealed containers. Then using Homeopathic Bug Killer on countertops, kitchen benches, window sills, on the shelves of food storage closets, cupbaords, as part of a regular cleaning routine once or twice a month: In a regular spray bottle, use 2-3 drops of Homeopathic Bug Killer in 250nl of clean water. Shake to mix thoroughly.
